Clanking Noise in steering rack after steering pump repair

Hi All,
I recently had my steering pump repaired. Just after this i started to heard a clanking noise at the front right side. I took it to a suspension place who told me that there is side ways movement on the steering rack, and that the repairs will cost R4800. :x . The sound however is caused when i break, or reverse and turn right, especially more on a downhill reverse. This sound more that the noise is cause of forward and backward movement than sideways. Nevertheless, what can be the issue, and will it cost that much to repair. What have the guys removed or worked on when they fixed the steering pump, as this seems to be the start of it all.

Thanks

Fouche

Check the sway bar connectors and rubbers.

I refused obviously to take the advice of the so-called specialist in Nelspruit. N4......something steering and suspension specialists, who are RIP OFFS. I took the vehicle to Mitspro in Pretoria, as I was passing by in any case. Freek Jr Helped me in a jiffy. Just a loose bolt on the front differential bracket, front right. Thanks Freek jr for your honesty and suberb service.

Problem solved?
