My Gen 4 compas freeze, the agents had replaced the sensor in the rear door and the display unit but nothing,,,,,,,,,
When it freeze I re calibrate it and then it works fine for a day or two and then it get stuck again.
As the sensor on the rear door and the display has been replaced where else can the problem be.

When you recalibrate do you do the whole driving in a circle excercise

John,
Does the Gen4 also require the driving in circle thing? I'm pretty sure mine was OK after a battery replacement last year. Only the magnetic declination setting was required.

I have had exactly the same problem with my Gen4. It's been back to the dealers twice, and I have recalibrated the compass (driving in a circle) more times than I can remember.
I've now given up!
As a matter of interest my whole Caska display often freezes and I have to reset it by sticking a paper clip into the reset hole. This is irritating as I lose my radio settings and my date & time.
Anyone had the same problem?
Dave

The Caska systems seem to be a problem.i would suggest to mail Caska directly as i am sure the agents just phone them for troubleshooting anyway.tell them you are unhappy and they need to resolve it as the vehicle is under warranty and the agents are not fixing the problem.

Hi,
Do you maybe have a GPS mounted on the dash/windscreen? Could it maybe be interference from it?

With regard to the Caska system continually freezing, I have noticed something interesting.
I had Bluetooth set to ask to connect to my phone.
I also tried setting Bluetooth to connect automatically to my phone (without asking) with the same result - the Caska freezes
Since removing this facility my system hasn't frozen once!
