Hi Guys

I took my 07 Gen 4 Pajero 3.2DID to Supaquick and as it turns out according to there suspension machine my front right shock is poked....

They quoted me R6000 to replace all 4 shocks with Monroe that carry a 5yr/100 000km warranty which sounds great but what are my other options and at what price?

I really wanted to lift the vehicle to piss on some awesome looking Jeep Wranglers and put on fatter takkies but I do not think the standard rims can take anything bigger?

I was also told that putting a lift kit on a SWB is a bad idea...but hear that some shock kits include a lift already...

Can you please comment on the follwing points and label them as such:

1 Your view on Monroe shocks for a Pajero
2 Alternatives for just a straight replacement shock
3 Will a lift kit be bad for the SWB?
4 If a lift kit is fine which brand and get from where?

Here in Oz, the pick of suspension for a Gen 4 is Bilstein shocks and Lovells springs.
A bit more expensive but apparently better than other combinations.
A lot cheaper to buy from the US than Aus and probably the same for you blokes.
