2007 Gen 3 SWB Towbar Wiring

Hi All
I just bought a 2007 SWB Pajero but sadly without towbar. I can now get a towbar from a breaker and figure I can fit it myself. Can anyone tell me how the towbar plug is wired into the wiring loom of the Gen 3 SWB. According to some suppliers it is "plug and play", while others reckon the wiring is spliced into the loom like in the "old days". I have searched my car for the elusive plug on the loom without success (best lead was that there is a plug in the jack/tool compartment - no joy). If it is a normal spicing job, no problem as I have all the goodies to do this properly.
Regards
Johan
P.S. Just to clarify, my 2007 actually looks like the 2005/6 model.

Hi Johan,

I have a 2006 model and I also fitted my towbar myself (Frontrunner), but had the wiring done at a SupaQuick. I know with the Frontrunner towbar there is a plug and play wiring loom available at a cost and as far as I know it fits in between one of the plugs that plug into the tail light. However on my particular one the towbar wiring was spliced in was done with it.

Thanks for the feedback gorman - appreciated!
Got the towbar today and seems like a stock standard (probably Bosal. Evene on the LBW the wires were just spliced into the tail-light loom. Will do the same but just minus the balls of insulation tape :(
