Hi guys,
I own a 2.8tdi V20 Gen2 (blister fender) with adjustable shocks which been removed.

In case that I cant find any informations about this adjustable shock system in the manuals I have, i need some help.

How are those shocks been operated?
the switch is electrical of course, but the shocks must be "pumped" up/down.

Is this done by air or with a hydraulic pump?

would like to know how it works and where I can find the components

Thanks
Stephan

Hi,

The variable shock absorbers of the second generation are operated by an electric motor installed on the top of each one. Actually, the electric motors vary the number of holes of the membrane inside the shock absorber (holed disc beside another holed disc). More important the number of holes is, more the oil flow crossing them results in softer suspension and vice-versa less holes resulting in harder suspension.

At your disposal for any further information.
