hello there from germany,

i want to get rid the spare wheel on the rear door. its a pain in the ass as
i am towing a big trailer, even my bicycle carrier doesnt fit nicely on the hitch.

best thing, 4 weeks ago i broke 2 metacarpal bones in the right hand, while disconnecting the trailer,
because the ergonomics between car and trailer and the fat lady " spare wheel " is insufficent.

if anybody has a go idea or even a photo, please post here, thanks !

some time ago i saw a flat cowl, which fits directly on the rear door when the spare wheel is not installed. means, instead
of having the licence plate 30cm behind the rear door, the licence plate was approx. 10cm behind the rear door.

that bowl excepted the fog light and licence plate, and was fixed directly to the plastic part on the rear door.

the question know, anybody knows, where in this world i can get that cowl ?

It is a pain, I know, because I also pull an off-road caravan and the first slot in my 3-bike Thule Bike rack is useless.
The solution: buy a tow-bar extension piece from a Thule shop and your trailer problems are over.
I also found a bike rack that fits on the spare wheel of my caravan so that solved my problems.
