bought a second hand GEN 4 LWB from a dealer in PTA and discovered on the way home that the lights are very poor on dim , stopped to discover that the passenger side headlamp is dead when the lights are on dim , how does one remove the plastic three pin plug that connect to the globe , I want to check the globe but can't manage to remove the fitting. The drivers side works fine, and are these lights wired individually . The dealer want me to drive the vehicle all the way back to see if they can fix the problem , I 1st want to check the globe before taking a day of work and traveling 300 km if its just a globe problem
Hennie, can't help with your problem but surely you can convince the dealer to allow a recognised shop near you to fix it
Both fittings are the same (different globe strengths though). low beam on the "inside" and the high on the "outside".
Turn the whole globe / plug anticlockwise and remove. Then, with a thin screwdriver you need to bend up a little tab holding the plug onto the globe. This you will find opposite to the globe itself.
Hope the pics help
