Clunk noise
Front brakes on my 2005 Pajero 3.2 was replaced and wheel alignment done.Every so often there is a clunk noise as if driving over something on slow speed and intermittently when turning sharp right.Don't feel anything on steering changing. No play on the suspension. Any ideas please?
Re: Clunk noise
What type of shocks do you have fitted? Ironman maybe?

Re: Clunk noise
OME with 80000km on.I felt that there is a very minute play on the left front calliper compare to no play at all on the right, but unable to tighten it more.Had it at another place to have a quick look but it did not make the noise so they cannot diagnose it.Will have to take it to someone next week or so to have a proper look.saw all the anti rattle clips are in.
Re: Clunk noise
The brake caliper goes over a "slider" bolt for lack of a better word. These slider bolts have a small rubber at the ends to keep dust etc out. If this dust cover rubber perish dust get in there and eat away at the slider. In some cases leading to a stuck brake caliper. Maybe you have a slider that have worn a bit causing the looseness and rattle???

Just throwing rocks at the bush here to see what comes out! I am not saying this as gospel.

PS Old Man Emu shocks are pretty good but some shocks wear the bottom eye rubber out(the Pajero have a particular hard front coil setup so not all shocks can cope with that). This then lead to a knocking noise on that wheel hence my original question on the shocks. Might still be worth checking.

Re: Clunk noise
Thanks Cats.Seems that it might be the control arm bush. Can feel the knock under my feet.
Is this part only supplied by the stealers or is there any other alternatives? What is the cost more or less to have this fixed and how long can I drive it like this?

Re: Clunk noise
Lower control arm camber bolt was stripped. Bought a new one with nut and spacer, got it fitted and noise gone.
Still little bit worried on the play on the calliper
