Advice on mods to Pajero Sport

I saw some very good looking PS's on the "Showcase your vehicle" forum (Andre and Michael's cars
)
I'm planning a few mods to my 2012 PS to make it a bit more user friendly for my intended use. Advice from other owners who has gone down this exiting (expensive) route will be appreciated.
First priority is a dual battery system which will be a PBE system. Had one in my Land Cruiser for 7 years and it never missed a beat.
Suggestions on where to fit a 105Ah extra battery, please. In the engine bay it seems to be a very tight fit if not impossible. Saw brackets advertised by ARB for fitting it to the underside of the vehicle on the chassis. A bit hesitant on this option as the battery might be prone to damage and theft. Last option is in the luggage compartment somewhere. Will gasses from the battery inside the car be an issue?
Next on the list a roof rack. Frontrunner seems to be the logical choice ?? I would prefer to replace the original rails with the Frontrunner rails. How difficult is this? Do you have to strip the roof lining on the inside of the car?
The owners manual states a max weight of 80 kg on the roof. Is this only applicable if the original rails are used? The rack alone probably weighs 30kg which does not leave a heck of a lot for loading of goods.
Sorry for all the questions but it seems when you change vehicles almost all previous experience is wiped
Back to square one
