Pajero Owners Club of South Africa

Hello to all,

I am trying to get new front discs and pads for my 1999 Pajero IO 1.8 and so far nobody can assist except for the agents. The agents want to charge me R1899.77 Excl each per disc and R1626.30 Excl for a set of pads. I have found the ATE part numbers and the Ferodo numbers too but for some reason nobody in South Africa stocks them.

ATE Disc - 422230
ATE Pads - 605854

Ferodo Disc - DDF1399
Ferodo Pads - FDB1596

Please can you tell me where to get these parts or if it is agents only please help me put pressure on ATE and Federal Mogul to start importing these parts. I have written emails to both companies with their part numbers attached and am awaiting feedback.

Ok so the short answer is NO, nobody who makes the aftermarket brakes imports them due to the low quantities required in South Africa. I do wonder though where all the other IO owners get their brakes from?

I bought Ferodo Pads last year from Autozone but disks I think you will only find from the dealer.

Pads are easy but the discs is my problem. ATE say there is too little demand for their discs and Ferodo didn't even come back to me. Looks like dealers only.
