Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me why the tow rating on the Blister Fender 3500 is only 1100kg as per tow plate?
I removed the tow plate to discover that the whole towbar is actually part of the body and can not be removed but the plate only.
What bothers me though is the four 12 mm bolts that bolts the plate to towbar.
Are these sufficient to do tow for an example a Conquerer Commander Caravan?
Would it be adviseable to tap those holes out and install 16 mm bolts with nilock nuts at the rear?
Any advice ?

Toe ek my pajero blister fender gekoop het, was die tow-plaat los - dieselfde 12mm boutjies was lelik seer gemaak en so ook hulle moere was los gebreek - hulle behoort vas gesweis te wees. Ek het toe die gate grooter gemaak en toe die 12mm boutjies met trekstang boute van 16mm vervang. Ek het ook ander modifications gemaak op die plaat, as jy wil sal ek vir jou kan fotos stuur. Maar ja, my tow plaat is nou so sterk dat ek van hom af recoverings doen.
