Gen4 CD Error Code 3

Hi All

I picked up my "new" Pajero last Friday - 2008 GLX diesel LWB

.

I tried out the CD player with the first time this morning, and found it's not loading the CD's at all. An error code 3 comes up on the display, which as far as I can gather is a mechanism error.

Does anyone know of a quick fix or am I better off taking it back to the dealer to sort out?

It might be the flat wiring harness inside the unit that is doing what mine did.It touches the disk and causes an error.You however need to remove the radio face to get to the unit.If not that then possibly the head is faulty.Can be fixed by most electrical shops.
