Mine is snapped off, and has been glued before, so it seems to be a common issue. Any ideas on how to fix it or replace it with something stronger?
I had the same issue with my previous pajero. To solve it, I drilled a small hole in the plastic 'wingnut' section where the broken off plastic thread was and epoxied a short thin metal threaded stud into it. In the door card I epoxied a relevant nut to accept the threaded stud from the plastic wingnut.
So I just replaced the plastic screw thread which is easily broken, with a stronger steel thread. Takes a few more turns to snug up the toolbox door, but works just as well.
