Grease leak on rear axle (NOT CV BOOT)

Hi Guys
When my vehicle was up today, I noticed that I have a grease leak on the rear axle, grease is leaking out from between the companion shaft and the bolted flange of the outer race. after looking a bit on the net, there have been very few cases of grease leaks from this point.
It is definitely grease and not diff oil. There are no seals that I can see in the service manual attached.
The grease is in lines converging on the centre of the shaft, so it has to be coming out when the car is moving.
Sorry for the bad pics.
I fitted new brake pads and was driving round the business park, flooring and braking hard to set the brakes. could this have caused anything?
To me it seems easy to figure things out, unbolt the bolts and shaft should drop down so that I can have a look inside? Anyone that can clarify or shed light on this. Im still new to DIYing on the car so dont want to try something that I should rather leave to a mechanic.
What is on the other side of the bolted flange? Is it just a plane face and therefore grease should not leak from that point? Or is it hollow and there is some kind of gasket?
I phoned Mitspro to ask if there is a seal, first I was told there was one, then I was told there wasnt and I should bring the car in. I think there was a miscommunication between us somewhere.
I have cleaned away the crease and will see tomorrow if there is any more.
