Petrol filler flap spring.
Finally something broke on the Pajero to show me it is human after all.

That little metal plate spring, that allows the petrol flap to pop open, failed on me. You DiD blokes won't be bothered by such a failure, but I need it on a daily basis.
Now to find out how the parts dept operates
Re: Petrol filler flap spring.
And now I know how the parts dept operates:
Brilliant so far. I called the dealer and was put though to a pleasant gentleman. He couldn't quite follow my description and immediately sent me an e-mail with a screen dump of the filler assembly. The part in question is 05096, it's worth all of R20, should be at the dealer by tomorrow and will be brought to Barberton as the gentleman lives in Barberton.

So far this is a really good story, I hope the ending will also be pleasant.

Re: Petrol filler flap spring.
The correct part is not the highlighted one, but 05096

I'm not saying Union Motors don't deserve a bloody nose every now and then. But to deliver a R18.65 part to my doorstep is pretty neat.
