Sunroof did not work

Tried to open my sunroof yesterday. Just heard an ugly grinding sound with no movement of glass. Had nightmares of R20 000 repair bill from dealers.
Did some internet research and it seems that the Pajero sunroof has a problem where the screws holding the sunroof motor in place work themselves loose and then the motor does not align. I had returned from a Kgalagadi trip two weeks ago, so thought maybe the screws had worked loose on those roads.
So, this morning set to work removing the head liner. Had to remove sun visors, a pillar trim and dome light to pull the head liner down enough to gain access to sunroof motor. Low and behold as I pull the head liner down, two screws drop to the floor.
So I set about refitting the screws with a bit of loctite for good measure and the sunroof was moving again. I had to reset the closing point of the roof by using a no. 4 Allen key and manually finding the correct closing point. Replaced all the trim etc. and am now a very happy chappy.
Maybe this will help someone with a similar problem.
