Remove second row seats

Guys I am needing to fit a sleeper couch into my car and drive from pta back home. The couch is 1.8m long and will fit if I remove all the seats from the back and just keep swambo and my seats in place.
I remove the third row seats easy and done that. How do I now remove the second row seats?
When the seats are in and folded it gives me 1.6m so 200mm short.

I hope it is easy to remove and replace after the trip and someone here knows how.

Thanks

You haven't mentioned which vehicle you are driving but my comments are based on my Gen 3 (I imagine the Gen 4 is the same)

The second row seats are not designed for quick removal as per the third row. You would have to unbolt them to remove. Sorry, I have never done it but I think it would be quite simple.

But have you checked if the space would be sufficient by reclining the seats till they lie flat rather than tumbling them forward ?

Un-bolting is super easy. Just fold them forward, there should be a little plastic cover to remove. Two bolts for each leg to remove. Seats are quite heavy, but do-able solo. Removed bolts and locating pins leave holes in the floor, no big deal.

Removed mine for a trip to Kaoko. With me being well outside Kurt's age bracket it took me more like 17 minutes but very easy. Like Roelf said. unclip the plastic cover and undo 4. bolts per seat. Heavy is not the word, especially th righthand one. I replaced the bolts to keep the Namibian dust out.

Ok. Thanks guys. This is very promising.
It is a gen 3 pajero.
I will have a look over the weekend or how hard it will be and will also see if I can fit the stuff in with just dropping the back rest. I did not think of that.
Is there any order to remove and when I put them back again that I must follow with the bolts?

Refitting is just as easy once you have the seat bakc inside the vehicle. No sequence except for putting the seat in place before putting back the bolts :)

I have the SWB and the seats are removed basically the same way.

The whole episode should not take more that 15 minutes.

Fold the seats up. Use a screwdriver to release the plastic covers (4 of them).

Each fitting has 2 bolts which you remove. Once all bolts holding a seat are removed, merely lift the seat, remove from the vehicle and store.

You will notice a pilot hole between each of the 2 sets of bolts. You should replace the bolts to stop dust or water coming in to the compartment. I purchased 4 rubber grommets from a Rubber Mouldings Company to insert into the pilot holes to keep the dust and water out.

Curly,
Are the seats in your SWB permanently out?
When I had a 3.8V6 Gen3 SWB, I had the seats out for about a year. That was the period during which I enjoyed it the most. I couldn't load anybody in the back and thus wasn't embarrassed by the 2 doors. I simply said "sorry, I drive a two-seater"
