I need a new windshield for my Gen 3 LWB. The one I currently have is a Shatterprufe with the following numbers on it: E11, 43R-0008, DOT 122 M39 AS1.
The one that PG Glass wants to fit is also a Shatterprufe but it is a green tint with a blue shade band. I have attached the spec.
The part number is 180008BNWA. Would this be OK for my Gen 3 LWB, GLS Exceed?

Shop around and you will find different thicknesses 5mm and 6mm SABS and non SABS (as I recall that is the different thicknesses) and different shades, tinted and non tinted. Grandmark Glass have good prices but watch the quality. The windscreen is an important aspect (asthetically and safety) so do not skimp on it and get what you want (ie colour).
I saw your post and also wanted to give you and others a heads up. Insurance replaced my windscreen on my Gen3. They arrange with their contractors who arrived with a new windscreen. What i wish to caution about and will be prepared next time is that they refit the old seal. Once removed the seal was obviously shrunk and after pulling and squeezing they refitted it but it left gaps at the top corners. The fitters just shrugged their shoulders. Next time I have a windscreen fitted I will insist on a new seal as well as the windscreen.

I am getting a genuine Shatterprufe which is supposed to be the best I can get locally. I am also getting a new rubber.
