I took the other side off first and they took much longer as you actually have to take the rails off and then the brackets.

I ended up loosening the brackets and then had to retighten ( loosening rusty bolts from a wobbly rail isn't fun )them to get the rails off.

So when I did the second set I knew the procedure and it took me about 10 minutes, as opposed to 30 for the first set.

Cutting torch works on any rusted and or stripped bolt :mrgreen:

I haven't got a cutting torch. Just some penetrating oil spray. Never had a problem yet.

The bolt on to the chassis with 3 bracket on each side. Each bracket has 2 bolts to bolt to the chassis and 2 bolts to bolt to the rails. Yes it's a lot of bolts :lol:

Brackets are high strength steel and the rails are aluminum.

Do you want them? I doubt I'll ever put them back - maybe rock sliders some time.

Make me an offer.
