Sound-deadening material

I have had much success to eliminate rattles in my 2001 Gen 3 and it does not sound like a tincan with some loose nuts n bolts inside it anymore.
Now the engine noise and roadnoise has become more evident. There is very little or no sound eliminating materials in places like behind the dashboard(rattle-free :o ) and above wheel arches. There is enough space to install some material and am looking for the proper stuff. Have used carpet underfelt in another carwhich was marginally effective.
Does anyone know where in Capetown one can buy this and what one should ask for?

Autostyle or soundmatch in Cape Town will stock the different sound mats..And there are plenty of types and prices. They will even install for you if you want.It must be done correctly else it is not as effective.I did it in my lancer and it made a big difference

Hi John,

I think you were the person who posted the plan and measurements for the dash bracket support.
I have made two from your instructions but need one more measurement to check that it will fit.
With the 90 degree bend at the top there can be a difference depending on how the bend is carried out.

Could you please advice the finished length of the bracket from the bottom to the top of the bend.
