Hi All

I have a squeaking sound that is emmited from the brake booster. I have been told that this has something to do with a ABS and that I should not worry about it. It happens even when you only switch on the ignition and don't start the vehicle.

Any suggestions

I had something similar i think . Was also told not to worry and then brakes failed .
Had to have booster replaced and was really expensive .
I would get that checked by someone experienced .

I have had the Paj serviced by ex service manager from Maritine and apparently when they launched the Pajero there was a problem with the brake boosters. There was a recall and replacements parts were done. Mine has the repalcement part. He says this is only a release of air making thesqueaking sound and not a problem. To repair s costly and only neccesary if the sound irritaes me. For now, I scarcelt notice this any more

I have the same problem with my D.i.D. Sounds like there is a duck hidden under the bonnet. My local mechanic says there is nothing to worry about - but I travel many miles a month - should I be worried?????? - also, the estimate for replacement is about R4000.00 - can this be right?

That sounds about correct, close to same pricing I was given. I have no problems yet with mine
