Guys,
I've recently cracked the lens on my 2015 Pajero Swb passenger side front fog lamp, not the day time running light, but the fog lamp, that little round thing.
The Dealership wants R 4995.07 for a new unit which in my mind is ridiculous for such a small light.
Any suggestion where I can get a cheaper replacement.
Regards,
Johan Coetzee
Hi Johan
I cracked the fog light lens on my gen4 LWB and got a quote of around R 1,500 from Midas in Fourways for a replacement light. They said it is just a generic fog light. You'll need to fit it yourself though. My light still works so I didn't go with the replacement in the end.
Cheers
Kyle

Jeez for the price of two fog lights you can get a new front bumper from Nudge-M

Guys,
Just to update you on solving my issue.
I did remove the complete assembly, cracked lens included and after having it on my working area, carefully removed all broken glass from the front housing.
Took the light to a glass cutting and fitment shop close by where they cut the exact size in a round form from a laminated piece, these they use for shower panels. This cost me R 20.00
Went to a local hardware store and bought a tube of black Silka Tack, which is in fact that black stuff one uses when a windscreen needs to be fitted and after first gluing the newly cut piece of round glass with supa quick glue into place, built it it up with Silka Tack. once completely dry put the whole assembly back into place and you would not know the difference between the 2 fog lamps.
The exercise cost me R 20 for the piece of glass (cut to size) and R 109.90 for the tube of Sika Tack.
Regards,
Johan
