Hallo, I'm new to the forum. I'm from Paarl and recently bought a 2001 SWB. Yesterday I realised that the indicators are not working, if I hold the indicator arm down slightly, the left indicators come on, for a second.... What to do? It would be a shame to take an ax to the steering column of such a lovely vehicle!

I had issues with my indicators. Stripped the unit last night and found that the one contact broke off. With a bit of soldering and filing it is now working 100% - not sure for how long.

Easy to remove the unit. 3 screws hold the steering column covers in place - unscrew from the bottom.
Indicator unit clips in/out - you will see the clips - one at at top and one at bottom.
2 screws hold the unit together. Take note of how everything fit together as you open it!

Or buy a new unit...
