Proper wiring for a Pajero SWB 2015

Guys,
I wish to replace the rear lighter socket on the shorty with a proper Brad Harrison connection since I run a fridge at the back and am scared that I might pick-up some problems along the way.
1. What type of wiring do you suggest since I am pulling power from the starter battery, no second battery system yet.
2. The fridge in question is a Waeco CF50 which automatically cuts out of the voltage drop is to low, thus I presume the starter battery will be fine whilst the vehicle is running. Am I correct?
3. Obviously I need to fit a proper circuit breaker along the route, preferably close to the battery should something go wrong, what type and where do I fit it.
4. How do I get the new wires through the shorty and not underneath the chassis since I use the vehicle regularly on 4x4 excursions.
Any suggestions or advise would be appreciated and if possible pictures of those who has done this as well.
Regards,
Johan

I would run wire as thick as possible but 12v rated to the back. You can enter cab just in front of passenger against firewall where the rest of the wires come in, and then under the carpet to the back but I would take it underneath, just tie it up nicely out of harms way, and then enter the rear at one of the drain plugs.
Fit fuse as close to battery with minimum required size to run fridge on startup. Not sure how much that would be.
