I think it is great. Mitsubishi handling this well

They are going to source all the parts first and then carry out the recall.

Kurt, do you know how much of the dash they need to strip to access this unit?......................are you going to run a "Fix-the-dealer-fix" afterwards!

My guess, if they're only replacing the passenger airbag, is that they only need to remove the cubby hole. When and if they do, make sure they replace all the screws and plastic clips as they tend to go missing when anyone fiddles with the dash (other than John and I of course
)

My swb was done last year.
Just a minor inconvenience.
At least nobody died in a Pajero before it was fixed.
This is driven from Japan.
In a recent accident where an idiot drove into my new Pajero Exceed on the left side all the airbags deployed on that side. Was shocked at the interior damage this caused but it was covered by the insurance
The installation gets checked by a computer to ensure all is right.
I am grateful for Mitsu and Takata for standing up and fixing their faults.

Hmmm... I just got instructions to make a booking for the following:
DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG INFLATOR ON MITSUBISHI PAJERO
But the image posted on this thread say passenger?
