Gen 2 Air Vent Duct Rattle

Hi
I have a very irritating rattle inside the air vent duct on the driver's side of my 1997 Gen 2 LWB 3.5 V6. I know the rattle must be somewhere inside the air vent duct because it only comes up at speeds above 80kph which to my mind means it is caused by increased air flow in the duct. Further proof is that it comes up at a lower speed when driving into the wind and vice versa. Switching the blower fan on and off however makes no difference.
Has anybody ever experienced the same phenomenon? Any ideas on what little plastic(?) part situated somewhere in the duct could be the cause of this? It is only heard on the drivers side. Does anybody know whether one can get into the duct and if so, how? Do I need to take the dashboard apart?
I have been thinking that if I could get hold of some type of aerosol glue (don't know if there is such a thing) and I could spray that down the duct it might cause the little part to stick in whatever position it is and thereby solve the problem; or am I just dreaming?
What do you think?
