I took my Pajero for wheel balancing and alignment today
The Technician explained, he cannot do a 100% align due to my steering Has a free play and I must sort this problem and only than will my play on the steerage be solved. Apparently the play is caused by my faulty steering box.
He advised me to take the vehicle to a place in Tokai called Drive&Align . They will definitely solve the problem by overhauling the steering box, I noticed my car veered off course sometimes, the reason why I took it in to Tyre Mart for alignment.
After the wheel balancing I have noticed that the play is very small and is control able. But for peace of mind I would like to keep my Pajero in mint condition.
Can anyone advise if the steering box repair or overhaul is an expensive operation?
