6. Family Status: Married (mostly happily), three terrific kids with nr.4 (ABF!) on the way

8. Current 4x4: 2001 Gen 3 LWB 3.5 Man

9. Current Modifications: Chipped (unknown supplier - where can I look to see which one?)

10. Modifications On The Wish List: Too early to tell

11. Vehicle(s) On The Wish List: Despite what the marketing ponytails would want me to believe, I'm happy to drive a 10 year old car, as long as it is reliable and PAID FOR. However, with my extensive family a brand new Delica would be nice :)

12. Previous 4x4s: 1991 Gen 1 LWB 2.6 UN-spec High Roof 9-seater (tough as nails), 1999 Colt Rodeo 3.0 V6 Auto (bulletproof reliability)

13. Last 3 Offroad Trips: Klipkoppie on the side of the road to show the kids the sunset, Ingwe cabin in Drakensberg (highly recommended), Qwa Qwa Highlands

14. Favourite Destination: Moz (but the mozzies don't mix well with little kids, so havnt been for 5 years)

15. Other Hobbies: spending time with my kids, Lotus 7 sports cars, scuba diving (geddit?), hiking, camping, cooking (outdoors if possible), internet surfing, wine tasting, wine drinking, ....

16. GPSr & Map Data Used: Garmin GPS V with all the latest Garmin and T4A maps (a little restricted though with only 19MB of memory), Nokia E75 with Nokia maps (not a real GPS but some streetcred at least ...)

17. Rate Your 4X4 & Overlanding Experience: Now to be modest ... 4x4 pretty good, maybe 4/5. Overlanding ... 3/5

I still remeber that Gen1!

Now it's 2 Mitsus further!
There must be something that convinces Mitsu owners to stick to our under-stated excellence!

Put the Transkei on your list of places to go.
Scuba is OK in winter (when water is cleaner), but never up to that of Moz.
As a family holiday - excellent!
