Good morning Team

This is my first post so I hope I have followed the correct procedures.
I have a 2001 Pajero SWB 3.2 DiD GLS Manual

I have been told that the fly wheel needs to be replaced and that a solid fly wheel is better than a dual mass wheel?
The clutch kit will need to be done at the same time aswell...
I've been quoted 8k for the solid wheel and 6.5k for the clutch kit. How do these quotes sound?

The prices seem to be right around what is cost me more than a year ago. Remember to get the clutch kit from the dealers, more expensive but it will last you longer.

Hi There,

Just a word of warning...I replaced my DMF with a solid imported from the UK and it did not turn out to well. The Dual Mass unit acts as a torsional vibration damper while the solid does not. I have heard some guys getting lucky without having any vibration but I guess I was one of the unlucky ones.
If I recall the DMF was about 12k but it was worth it on my vehicle.

Best of luck.

Hi there

Stick to the Mitsubishi genuine parts. My 2000 LWB 3.2 manual's original flywheel only had to be replaced at 450 000km.... I replaced it with the dealer's genuine item.
The extra money "saved" will be useless 1000 km from civilization.

Regards
Gerrit
