I have a 2015 Pajero Sport and I have a leak at the bottom of the plastic water bottle.
Can anyone advise on a) How to remove the bottle and b) Can I get a replacement from a spares outlet as the dealer wants
R1 100.
Thank you.

Good morning

I just want to confirm is it the windscreen washer bottle?

The windscreen washer bottle is removed from the front left inner fender. Take the wheel off its a lot easier that way. Agents are probably your best bet or the Mitsubishi spares guys in JHB.

. Remove the washer bottle and establish exactly what the problem is. Could be a simple and cheap fix. Google Part Hunt. They have a wide selection of used parts to choose from. They are way out in Pta East. I or another can possibly help if you are a distance away.

Remove the bottle and determine the cause of the leak. Sometimes it is a poor connection or the rubber seal of the pump. If the tank is cracked, try to fix the leak by using a soldering bolt to melt and seal the crack. or use Pratley plastic steel. (I fixed mine with a soldering bolt) Make sure that you first clean the area properly and the roughen it a little to give more grip. Test it outside the vehicle before you re-assemble it. If everything fails, replace it. Phone Henk de Klerk zero8doubble3zero6one848. He might be able to help you with a 2nd hand one. He is near Wonderboom Airport.
