Noice rear Right hand side

Good day
As I am driving through sand in 4x2 and the wheels starts spinning there is a grinding noise at the rear wheel on the right side and now I want to know is that a thing that the Pajero's do,is it normal or an indication of a problem cv joint or any other problem that needs to be rectified,active stability light flashing on the dash when this happens.
Drive a Paj 3.8V6 2008 model.
