Pajero Sport 17" vs 18"

Hi,
I'm looking to purchase a Pajero Sport 2012 manual. One of the rims was damaged and so the dealership has replaced 265/65/ R-17 with 265/65 R18. The spare is still the original R17.
Apparently after 2017/facelift the Sports now come with the 18"
I would be more comfortable putting on the rims/spec that the vehicle was designed for. Are there any risks with going 18". I know that the currently the replacement tyre cost can be 25% more.
Does anyone have a set of 3 R17" rims to sell? Alternatively could someone recommend a generic R17 that is well recommended, and is there a case then to consider something a bit more hardy than the standard mags?
Thoughts and input will be greatly appreciated.
