Hi Guys
This is my first post. I am pretty keen on buying this Pajero (this will be my first car I will buy)
1997 3.5 GLS Auto 161000km for R75 000
Is this about the right price for this Pajero? What other things do I need to look out for with this vehicle? What is the fuel consumption like?
Thanks for the help
Keenan

About price her mechanical and interior condition will dictate price.
Fuel average say 6.6Km/L depending on loud pedal usage.
Have her checked by reputable Mits owner or dealer.
You will get a reply once the real know how guys read this post of yours.

Make sure the timing belt was replaced at 90,000km - if the guy can't provide proof of this, you will have to do it soon seeing that the next change is at 180,000km. This will cost anything from around R2000 - R5000 depending on garage used (also belt tensioners, pulleys etc.)
Have a look and see if it smokes when idling for prolonged periods of time, but no smoking when driving or accelerating - this will mean valve stem seals need to be replaced.
These motors are hardy and can take a lot.

sounds too cheap for that model and milage. Be very suspicious. Get a long time mitsu owner to check it out.

Naah the price is about right for model and mileage.
