Good Day
While driving the car would all of a sudden start jerking. Its similar to a petrol car driven with a dirty fuel filter. I will stop for a while , start and drive. It will work for a while and do the same again. while this happens, there would be smoke coming from the exhaust. Some times, the problem would go away. That is all without the air con on. As soon as I use the air con, it would start to idle iradically and lost of power in such a way that i have to stop and switch the car of.
Could it be that the crank sensors are going haywire.

Your problem sounds bigger than just sensors.
Is there any white smoke present?
Many Gen 3 models had injector pump trouble, and their symptoms were very similar to what you describe, but white smoke was also present.
Try to get the Paj to a dealership or knowledgeable Paj persons to check it out.
