Hi All
As Im in Namibia - things here are rather expensive and hard to come by - and not many people can answer my questions. I have a Gen 3 SWB 3L V6. After the last rain season - my suspension sounds sick. Everything squeeks and squeels. Would anybody advise exactly what the problem is and how I can fix this. I was thinking of fitting a complete Ironman suspension kit????

Are you convinced that you have a Gen3? I'm not too sure that the Gen3 ever came with a 3l V6.

Reason I ask is because the suspension between the Gen2 and 3 is completely different, and so would be any trouble-shooting!

The Gen 3 could indeed be had with the 3.0 V6 motor (6G72), but these were not imported officially into SA. Gen 3s with the 6G72 motor might well have found there way to Namibia, though...

The model code for the Gen 3 3.0 V6 SWB is V63W and for the 3.0 V6 LWB it is V73W. As far as I know the following engines were available in the Gen 3 (in various markets):

4M40 (2.8 Tdi)
4M41 DOHC (3.2 DiD)
6G72 SOHC MPI (3.0 V6 multipoint fuel injection)
6G74 SOHC MPI (3.5 V6 multipoint fuel injection)
6G74 GDI (3.5 V6 Gasoline Direct Injection; yes Mitsubishi has used this technology since in production vehicles since 1996 )
6G75 SOHC MPI (3.8 V6 multipoint fuel injection)
