Must have been a good experience.
Question: Was the road slippery to the point that the Stabilty Control interfered?

Mine doesn't have stabilty control but ABS kicked in on a couple of stops.
I asked dad the same question and he said he put the ESP off as the conditions weren't that bad and the interference made him feel uncomfortable.
I'm sure he'll share his feelings shortly.

It was a great trip, albeit a bit hurried (to get back for Marius' staff responsibilities).
The gravel road down the mountain from Hogsback, past Sandile & Gubu dams was good too, showing the Pajero and Touareg's gravel road ability.
I switch ESP off. I don't like the jerking when it kicks in. I am comfortable on gravel roads, so I prefer it off.

I noticed the damage to trees as well ...
.... but I noticed that 99% of the trees which were damaged by the snow were foreign invaders such as wattle and blue gum.
Maybe we should leave nature to sort out these invaders!
