This is my diesel injector after running 30'000km on 200:1 2 stroke oil mix in my diesel - mostly 500ppm

I wiped it with an oily cloth so looks a bit shiny but pay attention to the lack of carbon deposits.
This is not an argument for it or against it (although you are welcome to carry on and flog a dead horse) it is just an observation for you to make up your own mind to use it or not.

Note : This was taken on macro setting on the camera. The holes are so small that SWAMBO couldn't see it with her naked eye - she doesn't need glasses.

Do you have "before" pictures also?

Unfortunately not.

This can however be used as reference.

I'll post again next time I feel the need to pull an injector for review.

Must cost you a fortune on 2SO, most guys run a 1:200 mix

But, thanks for the reference. I stuck a dolop of 2SO in the 3.8's tank during a quick run to the eastern highveld and back on Sunday (just over 400km return at 13.6L/100km). Hopefully it got rid of some carbon. The rest will be removed on the long run to Namibia in April.

What brand 2SO do you use.... Is it synthetic or normal 2SO?

Normal crude based graphite two stroke oil

The guys at the garage normally respond to: "the mineral one, not the synthetic one"
