Good Evening

so driving home now, going very slowly i noticed the following dash lights remained on and there was a noise from the engine,

red oil can
orange oil can with a wiggly line under it
battery
AT temp

anyone got any ideas on what could be causing this?

i am fast loosing my confidence in this vehicle

First of all I would try and establish if it is a real mechanical issue first. ie check the engine oil level / have checked or check the oil pressure / have checked or check the battery / have checked or check the transmission temp (eg hand held infra red meter or just get under and feel if it is actually that hot) / have the engine noise listened to by an experienced party. If you are in or near Pretoria I can offer to help.

The warning lights you mentioned are pretty much isolated (WRT their warnings / problems), so my guess at this early stage it might well turn out to be an electrical problem. When one gets random warning lights all coming on together it can be a bad earth in some cases or an electrical short circuit. It can be something as simple as a rat chewing the wiring.
