Suggestions for GPS cabling
Hi,

Recently collected my '05 DiD SWB Pajero.

I would like to install a permanent connection for my Nuvi 760 (I hate having cables flopping around on top of the dashboard).

I would appreciate any suggestions on how/where to have this done. Pictures of your installations would also be helpful.

Thanks in advance,
Wilddog
Re: Suggestions for GPS cabling
Hi DubDub,
There are three ways you can acheive this.
I mounted my Nuvi in the right hand bottom corner of the windscreen, mainly to avoid obscuring the view out .
Electrically, I installed a fused accessory socket under the dash hooked up to the available wiring and routed the cable up the a-pillar behind the door seal. where is emerges at the top of the dash. You could acheive the same and use the provided cig lighter socket on the dash just remove the bottom panel and route the wires accordingly. Thirdly, There is a harness available from Garmin which is designed for use on a motorcycle, it does not have the access plug on it and can be permenantly wired.

Thanks for the detailed reply.

Sorry I have been traveling the past few days and haven't had a chance to log back on... thus my delayed response.

I'll keep you posted on the install.
