Is it possible to tell the difference between a Gen4 Di-D (121kw) and a Di-Dc(140kw) just by looking at them? Are the mags different or any other body features? Some ads just says 2010 model and not if it is the latest version.
As far as I can work out, and from the article in the Nov SA 4x4, the new one has a fancy navigation system. Im not sure if you can tell from the outside...good point!
the latest Di-D is common rail.
Hoffie is asking about the Gen 4. The Gen 4 Di-Ds are all common rail (Di-DC), but the 2010 update versions are rated at 140 kW @ 3800 rpm and 441 Nm @ 2000 rpm as opposed to the original Di-DC versions that were rated at 121kW @ 3500 rpm and 373 Nm @ 2000 rpm.
I am not 100% sure how to tell the two types of Gen 4s apart, but I think the standard Satellite Navigation system is the giveaway. The latest GLX also seems to look much more like the GLS on the outside (in terms of having a chrome grille, sidesteps, etc.)

As far as I know, there are no EXTERIOR differences on bodywork, trim or wheels.

I thought this will be a difficult one. There doesn't seem to be a lot of info on the Gen4 models on any forum, wonder why. I'll make a turn at the dealers and get some clarification on this.
