Hello Everyone
I have a 2000 3.5 Blister swb and have a noise on the rear diff. Is there bearing kits on the market for this? Can anyone supply me with bearing numbers, or a kit number?
Which bearings are more likely to give problems, and does anyone know where in Cape Town I can look for a kit fot this. Are there any tricks in doing it myself.
Taking a diff apart, replacing the worn bits and putting it together is not that difficult.
Adjusting the gears to mesh within spec is the real challenge. Do it wrong and you could have a very noisy diff.
If you want to save a few bucks, take the centre portion out and have your local diff pro refurbish it. At least then you have a guarantee on his work.
