Please let me know who all will be up for a GTG at Atlantis Dunes 13 Feb 2011, it is a Sunday, and I imagine well probably start at about 08h30. We will leave for Atlantis at 09h00 SHARP
Meeting Place: Total Garage (Opposite the entrance to Atlantic Beach) West coast rd & Birkenhead dr intersection.
Co-Ordinates: 33°44'8.12"S 18°27'24.40"E
From there we can drive in convoy to Gate 1 (say at about 09h30?)

No braai will take place (so definately cold meats and Sarmies)
No alcohol before / during the driving please

I think as per last time, although, maybe a bit more necessary on soft sand, just a rough idea again of recovery equipment & radios. Also if I can ask all who want to attend, please give your real name as well, so I can put both your user name, and your name on the list (so us slow people can get another chance to learn all the names )

PERMITS REQUIRED IMPORTANT _ PLEASE READ IN FULL & RESPOND
Cost is R105 per vehicle day permit.
Or R510 (Jan till end June) Day Permits can ONLY be bought the same week as this trip, while the Annual (pro-rata) permit covers 6 months at present.
NB. For annual permit, you need to take along Green barcoded ID, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Atlantis office will be closed on this day, so we need to buy our permits at Cape Town, the week of the G2G
I think it will be best if we all transfer money to one person who can go in on the week of the trip, and pick up all the permits (only for day permits)

Hi All,

I'm unlikely to be there but we'll see.

Any Ideas on where we can meet up before the time (Maybe at the garage)
also, any input as to permit arrangements, and whether or not/to what extent we can braai, or will it be cold meats & sarmies.

Why not just meet at gate 1? If not at the garage on the westcoast road at Atlantic Beach. No braais allowed in the dunes or even in the parking area. There are a couple of bush pubs in the area though. My advise is you don't want to be in the dunes much later than midday. The wind picks up, the sand becomes very soft and above all you start suffering from white out, meaning you can't see the smaller gotchas in the dunes.

Also, since Mitsubishi played no part in our Annual GTG last week-end, maybe we can do something there (but that will probably depend on attendance by Pajero Club members).

I would prefer we leave Mitsubishi out of general GTG's. I have pestered them before, and will pester them again for the Birthday GTG.

I'll add you guys both.

I think (Simon, correct me if I'm wrong) since this isn't an Annual Pajero G2G, I think the same will apply as to with Mitsu sponsorship etc, and that for these small G2Gs cruisers etc welcome, just so long as us Pajero's are in a 2/3 Majority, as it is through us after all)
