Welcome!

You really have a gem of a vehicle now.

A couple of pictures and your first impressions on the Mitsu would be awesome!
Re: New Guy-New Pajero. Hi there
Will do so.

Thanks

Welcome Bostokkelos (allbeit that I joined AFTER you)!

We do not have that many Pajero Sport's on the forum yet, so it would be interesting to hear how you experience the car.

I agree, you got yourself a gem - and a highly competent off-roader!

You will notice - 4ePikannini has a motto that "if there are no pics, it didn't happen". So keep those pics coming.

I registered long time ago, try to get some info on the Mits. Decided it was only now the right time to post the first post, seeing that I have a good reason to do so.

Can one join a club up here in Gauteng?

I suggest you meet the members of this club at a GTG and pick up leads to other 4x4 clubs and facilities.

I am sure the Gauteng members will arrange something soon. Probably still recovering after their December travels, and waiting for AndreBenson to fix his engine first...

Hi Bostokkelos!

Great choice !

A few things I've picked up in my six moths in my sport:
DO NOT drive into a kudu - at 2 weeks in.....:( there are easier ways to make biltong...
DO NOT change from the tyres that are supplied, they are perfectly matched to the vehicle and perform well off road.

Skill Up
Get yourself booked into the complimentary 4x4 course from mitsubishi ASAP.
This is where all the kit is fully explored under supervision. There should be both theory and practical sides. Really handy.
My first sand dunes exerience almost had me in tears as I had no clue what the vehicle was capable of.
The auto box takes some getting used to, but you will find she goes just about anywhere you point her....

On tar I really enjoy the relaxed cruising at 140 odd, eating the road on my regular 250km+ trips.
As soon as the tar stops, casually slipping into 4H at 60-80km/h often starts a long conversation if there is a passenger...
Who then usually gets quieter as the speed climbs to 120 and the bushes become slightly more blurry!!

Sometimes I swerve a around a bit to see if there is any sign of the 'tuna instability. NOTHING.. Ha!

There are quite a few other pointers if you are interested.
Remember to nod to other sport drivers and sneer at fortuner wimps :)

One thing is for sure... this is one awesome vehicle.

Enjoy!

Re: New Guy-New Pajero. Hi there
Thanks to all, specially Alan for the good advice. yes what a car, it was never between the Sport and the Fortuner, the Fortuner is a Hilux stationwagen, with terible handling, cheap parts and a 7seat combination set-up that just doesnt make sence. Further more I would love to join GTG's and meet some more "inteligent" people"

regards
