Waiting to hear about long term effect
For that price it is worth letting someone else have all the hassle. I had considered to build my own but to get the right measurements and bend angles is a nightmare , Wildcat have a very good reputation and I doubt that I will be able to improve on their product. I was actually surprised with this price as I had a quote for close to 11k and that gave me a bit of a shock.

Hi Henk
Will keep all interested, informed on the forum. Additional to the exhaust, which I omitted in the last entry, was the diagnostic check / calibration of the existing chip, visa fuel co-efficiency mixture and dyne test (with before & after graph readings)
Just filled the tank, earlier this evening, but won't be able to test the Padj until Wednesday / Thursday, next week.
I will respond though.
If you can't economically get sorted with your exh. manifolds, PM me, and we can chat further, regarding my exchanged ones.

Home made bash plate. Needed for first off road outing
Just need to be galvanized and 2 more gussets added

I have recently found that the liquid was leaking out of my car's inclinometer (omdondermeter).
I saw this link: Fixing the Inclinometer, and decided to give it a bash.
After removing it, I found that the inclinometer has a flimsy / cheap plastic back cover that started to disintegrate and leaked.
I removed the back plate, and replaced it with a more hardy plastic disk, glued it (superglue) and sealed it (silicon).
I removed the (old) seal on the drain/fill hole, filled it with fresh "mineral oil" (used normal baby oil - so it will smell better if it breaks again!), glued the plug back, and also sealed that with silicon - wala - it worked.
I must say that, when we tackled the dunes on Sunday, I have newer even looked at this guage - too busy negotiating the sand - so I guess it is a cool trimming at best...

Hi Anton
I agree with you, that that gauge/s are not practical, at most times. You cannot afford to take your eyes of the ground ahead (as a few of us found out the harsh way, on Sundays do).
I've already bought the replacement gauges (volt meter / 2nd water temp gauge / oil pressure gauge), as has proven a good idea in the SWB, for the LWB.
Most of the GPS'S (I'd imagine), have a built in compass (more accurate - even my cell has a good one).
One's eyes and common sense should suffice for the inclinations - which in any case, as previously stated, one's eyes should be constantly scanning the immediate area ahead (or it's the duty of a capable co-pilot). If you've committed your Padj into an incline, it's too late to turn back, 'cause the angle's too steep ??
As for the altimeter - I wonder how many Padj 4x4 owner's actually use it, or put it to vital use ??
The 4th gauge which I personally think could be very handy, is an amp-meter (ammeter ?). Just to supplement the volt-meter, but alas........where is a non-invasive place to fit one
??
Anyhoo.........just my 2 cents worth

I agree about the altimeter, I replaced mine with a boost gauge when I had problems with low boost
Just received "Whitey" back from Gomad 4x4 workshop today. Attache photos show the work done - ie. two-piece 4mm bash plates, rear recovery hook, chassis painted black.
Other mods are the Ironman suspension, done by First Alignment Centre & the BFG's KM2 mud tyres
Only need to sort out my driving / steering wandering, whilst on the highway. Not B/Joints nor T/R/E's....already changed them

Achille,
That's another neat job. What did the hook cost? I always wondered why Pajero does not have a rear point.

Hi Anton
I just sent you a PM ....did you receive the dropbox entry??
The hook was R105, if i remember, but they had to drill one hole, to align the 2x bolts.......was strongly advised never to use the towbar, as a rear recovery point.......makes sense too
Yes, the 4x4 w/shop guys have done another satisfactory job.....yet again
