Bash plate
I want to fit a proper bash plate on my Pajero iO. Can anyone tell me who to try?

Safari 4x4 says Frontrunner don't make them. Who else?

Re: Bash plate
Ask these guys: Lynx 4x4 Accessories.

I'm not sure whether they can help, but they come with good references, and may be able to point you in the right direction.

Otherwise you can contact these guys recommended by Nino62: GOMAD

Re: Bash plate
I've asked Gomad to also make the second set, for the 3.5 V6, 'cause they're reasonably well made, nice guys to chat to (if you can get them to stand still for a sec), and....best of all.....less than half the price of anyone else....dinkum 8-) 8-)
Just insist on 4pm plate. Speak to Ciske or Johan/Jaco(if I'm not mistaken). Fairly accommodating chaps. They also make up other 4x4 "GOODIES"

Re: Bash plate
Hi
Looking to fabricate the two front Belly pans / Bash plates on my 3.2 DID gen 3.(long wheel base)
Can anyone please tell me why the middle "plate" covering the gearbox sump is made out of plastic. I can see no good reason for using plastic other than to save some weight and make it easier to damage the gearbox sump.
Any suggestions on what I should do or not do when designing and fabrication will be much appreciated.

Re: Bash plate
If you're in Gauteng, try CRD in Germiston, I spoke to Arnold and he showed me an example of on on a Gen 2 LWB that ran until the second cross member.

Re: Bash plate
I personally don't think this is a very good design as regards the mountings. The potential for having those bolts shear off is high. I would have had the fitters weld a flat ring around the mounting holes at least as high as the head of the bolt. This would protect the bolt head from sideways impact

Re: Bash plate
What Simon said.
Even if they don't shear off, they will get damaged so much that removing them might prove to be difficult, if not impossible.
