Mitsubishi Boksburg Bad Services
Hi Everyone
If you can remember I posted a blog one month ago about how unhappy I was with my service. Although I did not mentioned who it was.
Unfortunately with my kilometres travel I had to service again.
Again the same BAD Service. Except for Shedric who is the service coordinator that is always on top of his job.
It seems they look at the total km and say this and that should be serviced. Not going back in the history to see if the parts has been replaced?
For the third time in a row they want to replace my front Wheel bearings after they have changed them four services back.
They phone to replace the windshield washer reservoir because it leaks. I explained that I had to modify it because of the Bumper replacement and it is leaking on the plastic welding that was done. I need to take it back to the guys who did the welding.
The joke is they will still fill it and charge me for the window cleaner shampoo that was added. Honestly???
The day before my vehicle went for the service it went for a full Valet. I still get charged for engine cleaning solvent ??????????????????/
Previous service K12 This one K4.5
Re: Mitsubishi Boksburg Bad Services
Maybe these guys are trying to hard?
The fact that they phoned you points to them trying, does it not?

It is normal to service a vehicle according to the odo reading.
If you want items to be excluded from a service, you are responsible to communicate that to the service manager, who will note it on the job card. If the vehicle is under warranty, the service manager is not empowered to exclude items from the scheduled service.

For fun, I re-phrased your post to show a different angle:
(tongue-in-the-cheek)

Your post:

The other angle:
It seems as they went through the records and decided that since some items were replaced recently, they would leave them out, even though the service schedule dictates that they should be replaced!

Your post:

The other angle:
When I had my bumper replaced, the washer bottle was modified. This was not successful, and it leaked. Even though the leak was obvious, they did not even phone to bring it to my attention. I would have thought they would replace the broken parts, which became evident during a check?
Your quote:
The day before my vehicle went for the service it went for a full Valet. I still get charged for engine cleaning solvent ??????????????????/
The other angle:
I am used to my vehicle being washed (engine included) as part of the service. These guys seems to have noticed that the vehicle had a recent valet, and just excluded the wash bit!

I understand your point of view and between us ;) , Mitsu Boksburg wont see me again ;)
Their service is not the best in town and have had some serious issues with them that I wont go into in a public forum.

You need to tell them not to wash your vehicle and not to wash the engine. They will wash it regardless of the condition as this is what they are "told to do". So, make sure they write it on the job card when you hand it in.

Is your car still under Dealer's warrantee?

Maybe you should pay MITSPRO a visit...

Re: Mitsubishi Boksburg Bad Services
The solution to avoiding (apparent) bad service is quite simple...

Discuss with the service manager (or any competent representative) what you want done, and more specifically what you do NOT want done, on the jobcard. Then BOTH of you have record of what needs to happen.

Anything else they identify SHOULD be done, but not on any service schedule must be discussed with you.

From personal experience with 3 dealers - East Rand (Boksburg), Sandton/Randburg and Somerset-West, all within the last few months.

East Rand is a cut above the rest, have had nothing but good service from them. Happy to keep trusting them with my Pajero even though the motor plan is now done.

Hi
Thanks for all the views.
No more service plan for this old faithful :( It is now on 339000 km. :D
The fact of the matter is I am paying for a professional service.
I did asked to inspect the front suspension for a cluck sound under heavy breaking. (Written on Job Card) Still waiting for an answer?
Last month’s replacement of two fan belts cost: R275.00 and labour R384.00.
This service: Sir we need to replace your fan belts????? 6700km further.(I inspected them no damage) :x
Water Trap plug not plug in after service?
I just don’t think this is professional. :x
