Re: Brake Accumulator
HI

I have just recieved my Pajero back after accumulator replacement. Irritating noise is now gone. They have apprently increase the valve gap inside to allow the air to flow more freely.

Was less than 2 hours and car was also washed.

The irritating noise: Is that a whistle sound when you apply the brakes?

Hi Roelf

That is the noise, mine was just doing it every few minutes.

Will post there
Re: Brake Accumulator
Mine did the same in early December. Took it to the agents in Midrand who told there is a recall outstanding on the vehicle (I bought it second-hand). They replaced it on the spot in less than 2 hours.

Re: Brake Accumulator
I got my Pajero in January. Knowing of the recall (received a letter for the other Pajero in out family in December2010) we asked the sales agent and previous owner if they know of the recall or received a letter. Non of them knew about this.

Gave Mitsu Midrand a call, they checked the system and confirmed that there is a recall "not yet performed" on my pajero.
Mine is booked for Friday 18 Feb (2001 model with 220000km)
