Conrad,

I nosed onto one of your posts without realising you are new here.

Welcome and I'm sure you are going to be impressed by the knowledge and insight of a few of the guys here. I was and still am.
Your country is my favourite destination in the whole world.

RoelfleRoux, thanks for the warm welcome. I've already come to learn that this forum is a rich source of information.

I'm glad you like Namibia!!! I do too! ;) Where about do you usually travel/visit in Namibia? As you probably know, tourism is one of our greatest sources of income therefore I want to thank you for your patronage. As the sign says at the door of "Mr Price" shops, "the welcome mat's always out".

Re: Conrad from Windhoek, Namibia
All over.

From the Cunene and the Himba people through Damaraland. My friend has a game farm north of Omamruru that is wonderful. The Namib desert and surrounding semi desert is our most favourite area. Bloedkoppie and the Sawkop river bed really gripped us.

Luderitz is our most favourite town in the whole of Nam.

The missus and I happened to meet in Windhoek as young people. I was a young bush geologist in town for my monthly break and she had flown in form Jhb to visit a friend. We only married 14 years later. That is a story that will bring a tear to your eye.

So, yes.... We love Namibia.
