Hi. I am a new member to the forum so maybe this has already been discussed, if so please bear with me.
What do i need to do to convert my '99 3.5 V6 from using leaded (LRP) to unleaded petrol? I am concerned about continued availability of LRP in future.
Thank you.
3.5 v6 can run on both. Just fill up with unleaded next time round. You may find a boost in performance and economy - I did on my 1992 3000 v6

No "side effects"? How long did you use it before you sold?4ePikanini wrote:3.5 v6 can run on both. Just fill up with unleaded next time round. You may find a boost in performance and economy - I did on my 1992 3000 v6

You got better figures on unleaded - I think its time I tried that, did you still add 2 stroke at that time,
if you still had it now, being on unleaded would you still add 2 stroke?

in short
Fact : it burns away carbon deposits.
debatable : it adds lubricity to the fuel and cleans injectors
