ABS Error codes

Hi all

I put the pajero in diagnostic mode to determine why the Super Select was acting up. I found the Super Select code. I also found a large number of ABS fault codes. The ABS warning light isn't on under normal conditions, so I'm not sure if I should worry about the reported error codes. The following were reported:

13 - Wheel speed sensor (RR) system (Open circuit or short-circuit)
14 - Wheel speed sensor (RL) system (Open circuit or short-circuit)
21 - Wheel speed sensor (FR) system
22 - Wheel speed sensor (FL) system
32 - G sensor system
52 - Value relay system (OFF problem)

I did reset the error codes a few times, but they persist.
There is another post here somewhere where the person found an error with the wiring to the ABS ECU. With so many different errors, perhaps thats what I have as well. Where should I start looking?

start by cleaning the ABS pickup and the ABS ring. Clean all the ABS connectors ( 1 at each wheel and the abs connector by the brake booster) by disconnecting, spraying with electrokleen and reconnecting 2 or 3 times to create a proper seating.

drive around the block. Disconnect battery for 5 minutes - touch terminals together (with battery disconnected) and then reconnect battery.

Thanks, sounds like a good idea. I really hate opening up the dashboard and fiddling with those ECU wires.

The workshop manual states you can reset the ABS ECU by pressing the brake pedal 10 times when turning the ignition to On. It makes a loud beep after that, so I assumed that it did do a reset. Will the battery disconnect do a better job of resetting?

I would like to believe so - same as DSTV decoder power down at the wall is better than a "return to factory settings"
